Give The Douche A Chance... NOT!!!

I had the chance to catch up with a girlfriend of mine last week for coffee. As we were catching up on things, she spoke of her recent encounter with a guy whom she had a crush for a long time.

She knew this guy for sometime thru a mutual acquaintance and felt for him, for reasons that are not obvious to any of us. But heck, who am I to judge another person’s feelings right?

She has been constantly making it obvious that she likes him, it was just short of putting up a banner on her forehead to tell this douche, but it was obvious to us that he was taking her for a ride!

You see, it is usually hard for guys to judge if a girl likes him, women are born with the ability to conceal their feelings and not let it be shown as the nature states that if the guy knows, he will take it for granted.

But for a girl to know if a man likes her, it is so darn easy, more so with him wagging his tail asking for attention every other time! Calls would come in, offers for a date, showers of gifts and many more tell-tale signs are shown… IF HE IS INTERESTED!

It baffles me that amidst her unanswered calls, messages and showers of affection that she pours, he has not responded. I am fine if he made it clear to her that he is not looking for a relationship etc. The reason I label him douche is because he keeps her hanging on and sometimes leads her on thinking she does stand a chance.

All for the reason that he is keeping his options open, on weekends where he gets some date, he would ditch her as a non-existing being, and on times that he is alone, he would call her to catch up and hang out! It just doesn’t stop there, the words that are uttered, would even make me believe that he is looking at something more with her, so I don’t blame her for her innocence.

This friend of mine is an amazing lady, she is pretty and gorgeous! Proof is, she often gets invitation for date with some really amazing guys. Yet, she ignores all of them just because she has given her heart to this douche. That’s ladies for you dude! They are just like that…

In the end, I believe many girls out there would be able to relate to this scenario and my advise would be to just dump the hell out of the douche and move on to other options, she had richer, much better looking guys approaching her and it’s time she considers them. If a man is so indecisive and needs his mummy all the time, perhaps he’s not a man after all and still a boy in nappy!

 So girls, let nature run its own course, it is the male species that takes the effort in getting the female, observe the peacock or the lions and realize that even animal kingdom sticks to the rules and you shall not make an exception, especially for a douche who is self obsessed and takes you for granted!

Truthfully, as she was talking about him, I could still see that deep down her heart, she would drop everything and go running to him if he were to just call her and I hope I could give her a back-hand slap to bring her to her senses cos one more time and it would indeed be a time for me to show some tough love!
