Who is your soulmate???
It’s been a super hectic week at office and so many things that required priority attention so I would like to apologise for the absence of entries…
Today, I ask you all a question, who is your soulmate? Or what do you see when you envision a soulmate? So many people were asked this question and yet not many were able to explain it, and I realised that I too am unable to shed some light on this…

And it was then that it hit me… the mere truth… there is no such thing as soulmates… it is what you make of the other person that determines the merger of two souls… it’s your actions and feelings towards the other that makes the connection and love happen…
Take this as an example, you have Nexus & Starlet… Let’s put it in a simple scenario:
1- Nexus loves with reservation, Starlet loves fully:
The thing is, Starlet loves Nexus wholeheartedly and would do anything, Nexus on the other hand, with his whole Kambakht Ishq behaviour goes like neh, ain’t needing love, ain’t wanting love and this results in frustration that ends with heartache for both parties…
2- Nexus and Starlet both genuinely love each other:
Both parties are committed to the emotions of love and this results in a relationship that to an outsider, seems like something truly enviable without realising that this refers to ‘love is pain’, as you work on it… it doesn’t come easy and requires sacrifices… it requires one to forget self and always put another person ‘paramount’… By just doing that, you’d see that there is a presence of soulmate where in fact, it is a manifestation of your own ;)
In your life, you would have various encounters… some are mere passers-by, some would be a temporary hi, some would be hi hello goodbye bye, some would be those you become good friends with and there are some who are iconic partners…
Icons, are just icons, present and existing till clicked, like that, these are the encounters (definitely not many in one’s lifetime) but these are the encounters that when you stumble upon them, whether when you are single, in a relationship or married, makes you wonder things like:
- wow, we do seem to be like two different people with one soul
- why do we seem so much alike
- there is something bout that guy/gal
- he/she is no one to me, yet he/she is everything to me
- many more things that makes you ponder and smile…
So my bit of advise is simple, always trust your instincts and feelings for they will not lead you astray… in the matters of heart, one should not be using the head, and if you decide to use your head, keep it focused on matters that are truly worth it…
If you hold on to something that you know is not worth the energy and time, few months down the road, you would regret wasting your time and wish that you did the right thing earlier to not loose the OTHER person whom you felt the connection with and could’ve been your soulmate… if that happens, don’t despair but have faith that there will be someone else coming along and it will be in your hands to make him/her your soulmate ;)
i like the fact that soulmates are not made in heaven but made in a heaven created by two lovers..... true enough that sometimes we sense a strong bond yet we ignore it for the sake of another party.....

hahaha... just saw the sms after coming back from terawih and laughed myself silly... but true enough, it's hard to come by someone that connects so strongly and the sad part is, they are gone simply because you hold on to someone else...
