‘Datuk’ Shahrukh Khan Detained for 2 Hours in United States… So???

I'm Shahrukh Khan... And I'm looking so furious now for not being treated One-Level-Below-God!!! Saw in the news today, media abuzz on SRK being held for 2 hours at Newark International Liberty Airport. This reminded me of my old article I posted sometime back… Datuk Shahrukh Khan.... maa ehhhhh!!!

I bet fans around the world are throwing tantrums on the detention incident and as expected, the Indian media and political figures are calling for an equal treatment to be accorded to US VIPs and public figures during their visit to India…

And I’m certain the media of Malaysia would be joining the bandwagon to express their ‘disappointment’ on Datuk being detained… Certainly criticism and some experts would express their takes on the issue…

Let me bring everyone (including avid fans) back to reality… US is a sovereign nation that upholds law & order above everything else… When there is an uproar on discrimation, US is a country that does not discriminate definitely because apart from the President who travels on Air Force One, EVERYONE else is subjected to the same screening…

You see, all the kiss-ass elements in various countries that allows politicans and superstars to be accorded ‘special privileges’ is in fact a discrimation on it’s own… If you are a minister in some countries, you can swindle millions of dollars, put the best white collar criminal to shame and walk away with it all without being charged!!! But US is a country that even the President is charged to court of law for having an affair with a staff from the Oval Office!

For a country that holds it’s liberty and holds the law above all, this is exactly the right thing to do, so what if he is Shahrukh Khan or for Malaysians only, Datuk Shahrukh Khan! This 'VIP culture'' that gives some people a false sense of privilege and entitlement that does not sit well in a world of ever increasing security threats.

The 'supposed' next President of United States... Al Gore...Evidently, as former vice-president Al Gore has experienced more than  once. In one recent incident, an airline employee who helped Gore circumvent security screening at the Nashville airport was pulled up and the former Veep was brought back to go through security, which he did willingly and without making a fuss… He had all the right to, he was ‘supposed’ to be next President of US in contention with Bush…

Khan himself is said to have joked that Angelina Jolie must be subjected to the same treatment. Of course Datuk Khan, if Jolie or Clooney or Pitt (or Congressmen and Senators) are subjected to such treatment, it is unlikely we would ever hear about it -- since they seldom make a to-do about such things.

Ironically, he was in US to promote his new film which shares the 'discrimation' of Muslims in US... So Datuk Khan, reserve the regalia and royal manner to kiss-ass countries where law and order takes a backseat to accommodate folks who think they should be accorded ‘one-level-below-God’ welcome… Secondly, it’s rather a disgrace that you have forgotten to respect the laws and order of another country and to respect their culture… Snap out of it and don’t whine as your days are probably over just like Karan Johar has mentioned that you are rather ‘matured’ for the roles of Rahul in his movies and it’s time for ‘younger’ stars like Shahid Kapoor to take over the realm… So long Grandpa (no pun intended Datuk)…
