A Romantic Encounter- The Moonlit Kiss

What do I say to her? How do I look into her eyes? Will she be impressed with me? What will be the things she likes? Will she laugh at my jokes? These were the thoughts that were running thru my mind.

The nervous feeling was hunting me, after all, she is not just any common person, she's Orion, the girl who has been filling my thoughts when I am awake and has made numerous appearance in my dreams.

I have made all the necessary arrangements for the dinner, it has to be perfect, after all, this is our second date.

'So, I'll pick you up for dinner at 8PM?'

'Certainly, it'll be an awesome evening', she excitedly replied.

This made me more nervous thinking the expectations she might have. We had dinner and it was such a lovely evening, lovely because I had her company, an angel that descended from the heaven's above to be with a mortal like me.

''Why do you keep looking at me like that', she asked...

'Well, I was just wondering, what could be running thru your mind', I said as I kept my eyes on hers.

She kept her eyes locked on mine and took a step nearer, 'sometimes Nexus, you just have to stop wondering and let the moments unveil themselves'

Without further hesitation or thoughts, we inched closer, under the moonlit sky, the same moon that I have adored in admiration and where moments were envisioned... I held her closer to me and moved the strands of hair that was blowing and covering half of her silky smooth face.

'Have I ever told you that you have the loveliest pairs of eyes?' I asked softly as she gazed deeper into my eyes right to my soul.

She blushed slightly yet moved closer to me where I could feel her breath on my chest, obviously shy by my comment that could not have affected her on other moments this way.

With that moment in time, without further thought, our lips met... It was the most wonderful kiss that surpassed my envisioning of a remarkable kiss. The lips of hers felt as soft as the petal of rose with a light dew in the morning of February.

I lost track of time, and was lost in the world of my own, and it seemed that our lips couldn't part, the passion and the love was one with the universe and it was just us captured in that moment of passion, without lust but pure feelings from the heart.

I held her soft cheeks in the palm of my hands and I felt the happiest joy in my heart, the unexplainable feeling that is undefinable, only to be felt and experienced. It was moment of exuberance and elation.

For the first time, she held my hands close, as if never wanting to let it go. and the way she rested her head on my shoulders and the way she held my hands made me believe that this was the love that I was waiting for...

I dropped her at her house and we kissed... another passionate moment captured in time.

'Nexus, thank you for the lovely evening...' she had the most gorgeous smile...

I held her hands, 'it's my pleasure, truly my pleasure'...

I could've leaped with joy and be shouting with joy at the top of my lung but I had to hold my excitement, it will be pretty embarrassing to be showing my excitement which was so hard to contain...

Orion, if there is one wish I could have, is to be able to kiss your lips over and over again, to feel you near me and not have a sense of the whole universe, a world of our own where it is just you and me... You are my passion, my joy, my captivation that I adore and love...
