Coward Gladiators of The Modern World

A  gladiator  ("swordsman", from the word gladius which means "sword") was an armed combatant who entertained audiences in the Roman Empire in violent confrontations with other gladiators, wild animals, and condemned criminals. Some gladiators were volunteers who risked their legal and social standing and their lives by appearing in the arena. Most were despised as slaves, schooled under harsh conditions, socially marginalized, and segregated even in death. Irrespective of their origin, gladiators offered audiences an example of Rome's martial ethics and, in fighting or dying well, they could inspire admiration and popular acclaim. They were celebrated in high and low art, and their value as entertainers was commemorated in precious and commonplace objects throughout the Roman world. Russell Peters - Major Disappointment by TicketPro and Air Asia RedTix

It is definitely a big day of disappointment for fans of Russell Peters in Malaysia who were looking forward to catch him during his Notorious World Tour 2012. The fact is, I have been trying to refresh both TicketPro (http://www.ticketpro.com.my) and Air Asia Red Tix (http://redtix.airasia.com/) since morning to no avail with server failure greeting every F5 of mine!!! Last nite, viewing the seating chart showed that for most zones, tickets were marked as N/A. And this morning, just after two hours... it was only expensive zone tickets that were left!!! Are you seriously telling me that within that time period, all the tickets were snapped up or is it the typical Malaysian scenario, internal purchase was possible. I dare say this as I have couple of friends who managed to buy their tickets internally!!!
